What is Restylane Lyft?
Restylane Lyft is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler that targets the visible signs of aging in the face. The hyaluronic acid that is found in the filler is responsible for improving facial depressions and skin folds to improve facial integrity and restore the youthfulness of the face. Moreover, this treatment is also used during lip augmentation and for the correction of facial scarring. The results are not permanent and usually last up to one year.
What can be treated with Restylane Lyft?
Restylane Lyft is able to restore the youthful contours of the face by reducing facial folds, wrinkles, and skin depressions. While it is most commonly used for wrinkle correction, it can also be performed in patients who are bothered about acne scars, smile lines, and marionette lines. Moreover, it can be used to fill in the hollow areas under the eyes and to soften and improve the appearance of jowls. Restylane Lyft can also be used to lift and augment the cheeks.
What can I expect during the Restylane Lyft procedure?
Restylane Lyft is delivered through injections. The whole process only takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Although the procedure only provides minimal pain, some of our patients in Ann Arbor and Troy, Michigan prefer to be given a local anesthesic cream to keep them comfortable during the procedure.
What results can I expect from a Restylane Lyft treatment?
Immediately following the procedure, Dr. Gilmore often permits her patients to resume their normal activities if tolerated. There could be slight bruising right after the injections, but nothing that cannot be concealed with makeup. Swelling may also be present but will only last for a few hours after the treatment. If the treated areas include the lips, there may be slight swelling and tenderness within a few days after your appointment, but this will generally subside after one or two days.
Results usually last up to a year. Touch-up treatments may be obtained if you wish to maintain the results. This will be discussed further during your consultation.
What is the difference between Restylane Lyft and Restylane L?
Restylane Lyft particularly targets larger folds in the skin while Restylane L is often used to treat finer lines and wrinkles. Since Restylane Lyft contains more hyaluronic acid, it is able to treat much deeper skin folds and creases.
